Welcome another new student!
We would like to welcome our latest new student Shantelle, Year 4, and her family to our school. We hope you enjoy our wonderful school.
Welcome Mr Shane Randall - Third fulltime teacher !
With our current enrolments remain of 53, we will have (still unofficially) reached the magic number for a third teacher. This has to be confirmed by the Department of Education; however we felt it was important to start this short term with the teacher from day 1. Therefore, until the position is approved, we will be funding it from school funds.
We would like to welcome Mr Shane Randall to PRPS, he has come highly recommended from Central Mangrove and has already proved to be an asset to our school. Mr Randall will fill the 3rd teacher position temporarily for this term. Feel free to pop in, meet him and have a chat.
Term 4 Teaching Arrangements
As this a very short term, eight weeks and three days for students, at this stage we have decided not to form a third class. To form and third class, and appoint a teacher who does not know the children, would be unproductive for such a short period of time. After much consideration, the following arrangements were formulated to ensure maximum learning for all students.
We are using the three teachers to team teach current classes. Mrs Wills will team teach literacy with Mrs Stone on K/1/2 and Mr Randall on 3/4/5/6. Mr Randall will teach primary for Numeracy and the afternoon blocks. Mrs Blair will still be in Wednesday and Thursday to provide teacher release from class for preparation time and to continue her wonderful work in the library.
At this stage, these will be the arrangements for the term, but these may change according to departmental directions or more student enrolments!
